Pattern Submission Terms
These terms govern the submission, publication, and distribution of patterns through the platform.
Effective Date: February 1, 2026
These Pattern Submission Terms ("Terms") govern the submission, publication, and distribution of patterns through Stitchfully ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a pattern, you ("Creator," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not submit a pattern.
1. Eligibility to Submit Patterns
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to submit patterns on the Platform.
By submitting a pattern, you represent that:
- You have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
- All information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Ownership and Rights Representation
By submitting a pattern, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original creator of the pattern or
- You have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to publish and distribute the pattern and any underlying artwork, images, charts, diagrams, or designs.
- The pattern does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights.
- The pattern does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
3. Intellectual Property Responsibility & Indemnification
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for any claims arising from copyright infringement, trademark violations, or other intellectual property disputes related to your pattern.
- You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Platform, its owners, affiliates, employees, and partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, legal fees, and expenses arising from:
- Your submitted pattern
- Any alleged infringement
- Your breach of these Terms
The Platform is not responsible for verifying ownership of submitted patterns.
4. License Granted to the Platform
By submitting a pattern, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Host
- Store
- Display
- Reproduce
- Distribute
- Make available
your pattern solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform.
You retain ownership of your pattern at all times.
5. Publication and Access Terms
When you publish a pattern on the Platform:
- An uneditable version of the pattern is created.
- That version becomes accessible to users who start a project using the pattern.
You understand and agree that:
- You may remove the pattern from being used in new projects at any time.
- However, users who have already started a project will retain access to the pattern until their project is completed.
- Access granted to existing projects cannot be revoked.
This ensures project continuity for users.
6. Pattern Removal and Platform Rights
The Platform reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Remove or disable access to any pattern
- Suspend or terminate creator accounts
- Investigate claims of infringement
- Comply with legal requests or takedown notices
We may remove content that violates these Terms, our Terms of Service, or applicable law.
7. DMCA / Copyright Complaints
If you believe a pattern infringes your copyright, send us a contact message.
Contact UsYour notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material
- Your contact information
- A good-faith statement that use is unauthorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate
We will respond in accordance with applicable copyright law.
8. No Monitoring Obligation
The Platform does not actively monitor all submitted patterns. We rely on creators to submit lawful content.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Lost profits or business interruption
- Legal disputes between users and creators
Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.
10. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued submission of patterns after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles.
