Stitchfully

Privacy Policy

Stitchfully is designed to be simple, flexible, and respectful of your privacy. You can use Stitchfully entirely in your browser, or choose to create an account to store and share patterns online.

Last updated: February 2026

The short version

  • Accounts are optional.
  • Patterns can be saved locally in your browser.
  • Patterns are stored on our servers only if you create an account.
  • Patterns are shared only if you explicitly publish them.
  • We do not sell or share personal information.
  • We collect limited, non-identifying analytics data to improve the site.

Using Stitchfully Without an Account (Local Mode)

You can create patterns and stitch projects entirely in your browser without creating an account.

When using Stitchfully without an account:

  • Your patterns are saved locally in your browser using IndexedDB.
  • This data never leaves your device.
  • It is not uploaded to our servers.
  • It is not accessible to us.

Because this data lives in your browser, clearing site data, switching browsers, or changing devices will remove your saved patterns. Currently, up to five patterns can be stored locally per device.

Accounts and Cloud Storage

If you choose to create an account, you may store patterns and projects on our servers.

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Account credentials
  • Patterns and projects you choose to save online

Patterns are stored on our servers only when you are logged into an account and choose to save them there.

Accounts are never required to use Stitchfully's core pattern creation tools.

Pattern Sharing and Publishing

Patterns are private by default.

A pattern is only shared with other users if you explicitly choose to publish it.

If you publish a pattern:

  • It becomes visible to other users according to your selected visibility settings.
  • Other users may create projects using your published pattern.
  • You may remove a pattern from being used in new projects at any time.
  • Users who have already started a project may retain access until their project is completed.

We do not share unpublished patterns with other users.

Analytics Data

Stitchfully collects general, non-identifying analytics data to improve usability and performance.

This may include:

  • Total patterns created
  • Total projects created
  • Pages visited
  • Feature usage
  • Approximate device or browser type
  • General traffic trends

This data:

  • Does not include pattern contents
  • Does not include uploaded images
  • Does not include personal messages
  • Is not used to identify individual users

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers.

Cookies

Stitchfully may use cookies or similar technologies for:

  • Analytics
  • Session management (if logged in)

Cookies are not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building user profiles.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for:

  • Analytics
  • Secure authentication
  • Cloud hosting

These providers receive only the information necessary to operate their services and are required to protect your data.

No third-party service has access to locally stored patterns saved in your browser.

Data Retention

If you use Stitchfully without an account, we do not retain your patterns.

If you create an account:

  • Your account data and saved patterns remain stored until you delete them or close your account.
  • You may request account deletion at any time.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account data and stored patterns. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Future Changes

As Stitchfully grows, features may expand. If we introduce new features that require additional personal data, this Privacy Policy will be updated clearly before those features are implemented.
